What is an Immersive Experience?

An Immersive Experience tells a story and builds a world for guests to explore. It is different from a Themed Event in that it transports guests out of reality for a moment and invites them to suspend their disbelief and play.
Does it involve a lot of technology?

Not at all. Projection mapping does not make an experience Immersive. Technology should be there to help support the story and build the world within the rules of this new world. If the world is only on a projected screen guests can’t touch it, can’t taste it, can’t really dive into it and lose themselves in it. The best stories happen within the simplest of mediums - a book of spells left on a dusty table, a phone that once picked up conveys a message, a key found in a hidden box that unlocks a chest found behind a moving painting…
How much does it cost?

Ah! Now there’s the rub! Immersive events can be more expensive than a themed event as greater care and attention to detail is taken to map out the guest experience and the flow of the story. It may cost a bit more, but if done well - Oh! The stories your guests will tell!
